The Roses and the Stars journey, all began 10 years ago on the shop floors of Parisian childrenswear label Bonpoint. The beautiful traditional styles and exquisite attention to detail really made the brand stand out high above the rest, and after working for the brand for a further 4 years, founder Rosie, became unwaveringly loyal to the label and it's aesthetic, from stock to store.
As a result of this bond, we've probably looked unfairly upon the Marie Chantal label, which for the past 15 years has sat within this same group of exclusive boutiques and designers servicing the mothers of Kensington and Chelsea from its stores on Walton Street and Ledbury Road.
Of course, there is something about the traditional style of dress sold at Marie Chantal, which makes us very nostalgic for our own childhood. Changing into a beautiful smocked dress was all part of the occasion for birthdays and Christmases growing up, and as a result, however much our loyalties might have fallen elsewhere, we couldn't help but be enchanted by the gorgeous pea coats and traditional rompers.
But recently, the Marie Chantal label has really gone up in our estimations due to its collaborative partnership with legends of the British high street, Marks and Spencer. We love that the traditional styling of these beautiful children's clothes is now available for the masses. Of course, the popularity of these more old-fashioned styles have been heavily influenced by photos of Prince George and Princess Charlotte in the media, so we love that this collaboration means that you don't need to have the budget of a Queen to have your little ones dress like royalty. Magical party dresses start at £28.00 at M&S - these pieces are normally priced around the £200 mark when you shop directly from the Marie-Chantal boutiques!
